Despite a huge turnout and some strong representation the planning committee voted 6:2 to approve the application to build 150 houses.

This was typical of the traffic scene during the campaign against the last proposed development in 2005. Things don't seem to have changed much today (at least not for the better) and another 150 houses will only add to the traffic congestion.
